New book

My sister wrote a book and self-published it this week on Amazon. It's all about Ryan and their amazing story. He was born with his heart outside of his body and the doctors were very doubtful he would live. So doubtful they strongly suggested that my sister abort him but she wanted to be his mom for as long as God would let her. Ryan is now four and is the sweetest, most polite boy I've ever met (I might be a little bias )

I had a video but it wouldn't upload to prove my point of him being the sweetest boy ever (back in the summer John had wrestled me to the ground and Ryan was pushing on John the hardest he could to get him off me, grunts and all. He was so cute!)

Anyways, get the word out. It is an amazing story and worth telling. If you want to read more about it check out her blog or other articles where their family was mentioned. I'm so thankful for her example and so proud of her that she finished her book! Help us spread the word.

Technology

My day started yesterday with this group message, which seems to be the norm lately for my family. I love it. It's fun to get random picture updates. Sorry Katie, who seems to just get the replies and never the original message. Speaking of that, Katie don't you need a new phone. I suggest an iPhone. Imagine getting the original message and the replies and actually knowing what we're talking about it. You'd be like me and that's pretty awesome in itself. Moving on.

I'm the response in green

close up of the cutie herself in case you couldn't really see it on that other picture

In response. I got this adorable video. Sorry that it's seems to be low quality.

I of course I sent an apology video in reply to that reminding Muriel that I am in fact her favorite. Gotta give that positive reinforcement when you can.

I may be far away from my family (which is sad) but I love that we still keep in contact via text, skype, email, etc. Love it.

Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is beautiful! Clearest lake I've ever seen! We went kayaking and saw all the way to the bottom. It was at least 20 feet deep where we were.

The Lake even makes a Canadian goose look good.

Sawyer has grown up so much since the last time I saw him. He has hair and can say more than three words. What a cute little man.

Here starts the obsession with the geese.

 So cute, right?

Sawry, Addy. We made Sawyer apologize for hurting Addy.

The little man loves throwing sand, dirt, whatever.

and I love taking pictures of him.

She's pretty cute too ;)

Addy really wanted to fly her kite. So we went to the pier.

 Nice face Trent.

Good Ol' Emily

I had a good time in California. I would go back if I could. Next time, I wanna explore and site see a lot.

Working Vacay

I'm going to Californina to take care of these cute kiddos.  I'm super excited to see the state and hang out with this family that gave me so much last year. It doesn't hurt that they payed for my way out there.....

I've scheduled some posts for when I'm gone so that when I get back I can try to blog more frequently... we'll see how that goes.

Halloween and photo shoots

If you came to Starbucks on Monday, this is what I would have looked like serving your drink or pastry to you. I love holidays. I'm hoping we get to dress up for Thanksgiving and Halloween too. haha.

This Halloween, I went with the Ellsworths to Treats on Main. All the local businesses handed out candy and had fun games for the kids to plain all up and down Main Street. It was so cute. So many awesome costumes that I wish I could have captured to show you all. I saw i phones, a deck of cards (dad-king, mom- queen, baby- joker, other kids- A, 2), pumpkins, and other adorable costumes.

This is who I went with. The cute little puppy and the beautiful Belle.

Sawyer took his costume dressing up very seriously. He was always in character ;)

This was an adorable little clown. I couldn't resist.

My computer finally got fixed (thanks to multiple people and Apple ;) and I finally got to put my pictures from my camera onto my computer. I noticed that Addy has gotten to be my model over the last month a lot more than I realized.

I've wanted to do this picture for a while. I saw the idea off of pintrest.

She was showing me her moves haha

Boots and Best Friends

I bought these boots 3 days ago and have been in them every since. Wore them with a dress to a wedding on Saturday, put them with skinny jeans and a fall sweater for church last night, and wore a similar outfit today when I went to see one of my bosses to get more projects. I've wanted some fall boots for a long time so it'll be a while till I'm not planning my next outfit with them :)

In other notes, I surprised Marie this weekend by showing up at the hotel she was staying at for her friend's weddings. Our other friend, Anna, was going to the wedding and so asked if I wanted to join her and surprise Marie. We packed up the car and left on Friday and were giddy with excitement by the time we pulled into the hotel parking lot. I was nervous because I just didn't know how she would react but when she saw me, she cried from joy (this has never happened so I was well, surprised myself). All in all, we had a fun, relaxing weekend. Glad I got to see her :)

This is what just came out of her room. She likes to play dress-up instead of napping. She just forgot to unzip the dress before putting it on.

This summer

Meet Addy and Sawyer. This is who I hang out with every morning during the week.

Sawyer loves his sister. Everything she does is funny. The kid also has a knack for finding the only piece of dirt on the floor and stuffing it in his mouth as fast as he can.

This is Addy's dog named Horsey. I'm waiting a little bit to break the news to her that it's in fact a different animal entirely.

This is my new hair. It's a little bit wavy because of the perm I got a couple weeks ago.

I don't have muscles for this type of thing.

Today, I was doing so good. I got up at 8:15. Went to the post office, dropped my car off to have the A.C fixed, got picked up by the boyfriend and we went to the grocery store for tonight's dinner, went to the bank and I was dropped off by 10:00. Then I swept & straightened up my room and bathroom, talked to Apple on the phone to ask why my computer had frozen when trying to install Snow Leopard (it could have been because my laptop was still running on Tiger. Not even Leopard but Tiger but that's beside the point), did my devotions, and started round 2 of installing Snow Leopard on my laptop. Then off to get the kids that I'm watching this summer at daycare at 11:35. This is where my productivity stopped dead in it's tracks. Not because of the kids but because of assuming. Since it was a sunny day and I didn't see the stroller in the carport, I assumed that the parents had walked their kids in the stroller to daycare this morning and that it wouldn't be a big deal to pick them up without a car. So I walked to daycare and got there to find not a stroller but the baby's car seat. This was very unfortunate because I knew the boyfriend was in Lexington for the afternoon and so I had to walk home carrying the baby in his carseat in the almost 90 degree weather. It's probably only a 1/2 a mile from daycare to home but that carseat/baby combo gets pretty heavy.. I'll never assume again about picking up the kids. That was a poor decision and now I just want to lay on the couch for the rest of the day. I definitely got my workout for the day.
